March Gladness – Bishop Paul S. Morton

Posted on March 14th, 2012.

All the way from Atlanta, by way of New Orleans, Bishop Paul S. Morton sent us a mighty word from on high. I can still hear him singing to souls right now!

Ephesians 6.12-13 will never look the same again. It’s evident he was letting us know that we have to “Turn the Devil’s Tap Off!” We must get to the root issues of the situation in order to be elevated to the next level.

We have to tap into God’s anointing so He can reveal to us how to turn the enemy’s tap off. We have to pray so God can give us the power behind the tools we’ll use to conquer the enemy. Sure, we can throw the rock, but only the power from the Holy Spirit can make that rock so detrimental that it would knock down a giant! We have authority over the mess, but we must first acknowledge God in all our ways so He can make our paths straight to maneuver out the manure.

What tap has been running for years in your life? What have you been trying to conquer in your own ability with your own understanding?

Prayer will reveal to us how to turn the tap off because the devil cannot defeat us; we are fighting from victory, not for victory. Jesus has already yanked the keys from the enemy, so even when he comes around trying to scare us, roaring and barking saying, “You can’t do it,” or “You’re not smart enough,” or “Who’s going to listen to you anyway,” remember Who’s got the keys to your next level!

Fear is faith that it won’t work. Faith in God is confidence that He won’t leave you, He won’t forsake you, He will lift you up, and He will crown you with love and compassion, satisfying your desires with good things (Psalm 103.1-6).

This is the year for God’s divine government to be loosed on earth since it’s already loosed in Heaven for you. Claim it. Trust Him. Expect it. Sow towards it through our Capital Campaign and watch God rain down blessings from Heaven – so much that your barns aren’t even big enough to catch it all. So, Higher D, how will you show God your trust in Him?
