Higher D!

Pastor really made this live Sunday. Do you whip your hair back and forth or do you stand by and let others do it for you?

Pastor talked about the story of Mary in John 12 and how she took her expensive perfume, poured it on Jesus’ feet, and whipped her hair back and forth over Him.

This is giving Higher D! It was a personal gift, she was not prompted to give, it was a gift of much worth, and she did it in public! Mary teaches us what honor looks like. Even though others around her had a problem with her giving, she gave in spite of them.

This week I challenge you to use Mary’s motivation to give to honor our Lord and Savior.

Give in this chapter of your life because of all the blessing which have come in the previous chapters of your life. Give because of what God has already done for you.

Give because you are presently sitting at the table with Jesus. You, like Lazarus, have been loosed of your dead situations, they have been buried, and Jesus has resurrected you.

Give because it is an expression of worship. Worship is awareness of God, awe in His presence, adoration of Him because of His greatness, plus acts and affirmation of praise for who He is and all He does.

Giving affects and infects our whole environment!
